What is the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program?
A federal initiative providing eligible Medicare beneficiaries access to approved GLP-1 medications at a fixed $50 copay - furnished outside of the standard Part D benefit, with no deductible and no impact on your TrOOP costs.
No Part D Deductible
GLP-1 drugs furnished under the Bridge are provided outside of the Part D benefit payment flow. This means the Part D deductible does not apply - you pay $50, not your full deductible first.
No TrOOP Impact
The $50 copay does not count toward your beneficiary True Out-Of-Pocket (TrOOP) costs. This means it won't help you reach the catastrophic coverage threshold in Part D.
LIS / Extra Help Patients
There is no low-income subsidy (LIS) provided for LIS beneficiaries under the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. The $50 copay applies regardless of LIS status.
Eligible GLP-1 Drugs
Covers FDA-approved GLP-1 receptor agonists indicated for weight management. Ask our pharmacist which specific medications qualify under the program at your nearest MedLink location.
For patients without commercial insurance or those seeking lower costs, MedLink Pharmacy compounds pharmaceutical-grade semaglutide and tirzepatide at both Pasco County locations. Same active ingredient - dramatically better pricing than brand-name.
